Job Title: Head Chef Location: Cambridge Salary: £36,000 per annum We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to join the team at a popular branded restaurant located in Cambridge. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that exceed guests' expectations.   Key Responsibilities: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Lead and motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance and training as needed. Develop and maintain standard recipes to ensure consistency and quality. Manage inventory levels and ordering of supplies to meet operational needs. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards at all times. Collaborate with management. Monitor food costs and strive to achieve budgetary goals without compromising quality. Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations. Requirements: Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role in a busy kitchen environment. Extensive knowledge of kitchen management, culinary techniques, and food safety standards. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Creative flair and passion for food. Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required.
