General Science Teacher


Now Education are working on behalf of a secondary school in Greenwich, who are seeking an experienced teacher of General Science to join them from April or September 2024. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of students at the school, within a creative and supportive Science department. If you have a strong knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 General Science curriculum and can teach KS5 in your chosen science specialism, we would love to hear from you. This secondary school is conveniently located in Greenwich, making it easily accessible for both teachers and students. Science teaching play a central role in the school’s curriculum, and their supportive General Science department provides a nurturing environment for students to explore their talents. As a Teacher of General Science, you will have the opportunity to make a real impact on the school’s students. Your responsibilities will include: * Planning and delivering engaging lessons that align with the KS3 and KS4 General Science Curriculum. * Developing and implementing schemes of work and lesson plans that cater to the individual needs and abilities of the students. * Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback, and implementing strategies for improvement. * Collaborating with other members of the Science department to develop and enhance the curriculum and resources. * Building positive relationships with students, parents, teachers and other school leaders whilst maintaining effective communication channels. To be considered for this General Science Teacher role, you should meet the following requirements: * Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, with a degree in one of the core Science subjects (Chemistry, Physics, Biology) * Proven experience teaching General Science at KS3 and KS4, with a track record of achieving excellent results. * Experience Teaching your specialist Science subject at KS5 * Strong subject knowledge * Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all students to thrive. * Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
