Electrical Design Engineer

Fantastic opportunity awaits as an Electrical Design Engineer to work with a leading manufacturing company specialising in bespoke automated machinery. Working within their state-of-the-art headquarters in Essex, you'll become part of a dynamic team of professionals dedicated to excellence. In this role, you'll play a vital part in the company's development, transitioning drawings from AutoCAD to EPLAN, whilst collaborating closely with the Automation Department. Electrical Design Engineer £40k - £45k + Overtime, Pension, Healthcare, Flexitime Essex Ref: 23628 Electrical Design Engineer - The Role: ⦁ Assisting with the transition of drawing from AutoCAD to EPLAN, collaborating with the Automation Department to establish drawing standards and working methods ⦁ Generating electrical drawings and panel layouts, along with supporting electrical documentation such as Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, and Terminal Rail Layouts ⦁ Ensuring prompt updates of all electrical drawings throughout the project lifecycle and sharing with all relevant departments ⦁ Maintaining a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project Electrical Design Engineer - The Person: ⦁ In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and ideally Pro Panel 3D ⦁ A formal Electrical Engineering Qualification ⦁ A systematic approach to work with high attention to detail ⦁ The ability to work effectively with people across departments and shop floor ⦁ Desirable qualities include an EPLAN Certified Engineer qualification ⦁ Experience in a project environment in cross-functional project teams would be beneficial. Located in Essex, this role would be commutable from Tilbury, Southend-on-Sea & Chelmsford.
