Qualified Social Worker - Long Term Adults Location: South East Pay rate:  £36 per hour Are you a Qualified Social Worker looking for a new opportunity within the Long Term Adults Team? We are currently working with a local authority in the South East  who are looking for experienced social workers to join their Long Term Adults Team. In this role you will  undertake longer-term (6 weeks or more), complex social work interventions, working with older adults and physically disabled people; including those with concurrent mental health and substance misuse needs. The team undertakes complex mental capacity work, including Court of Protection or Inherent Jurisdiction applications; Safeguarding enquiries and reviews, as well as assessments and unscheduled reviews under the Care Act 2014, and multi-disciplinary input to Continuing Health Care processes. You will report directly to the team manager, and supervise and manage a small team of 4 – 6 social workers, acting as a role model and expert practitioner, and building on the team’s already strong ethos of reflective practice, learning and development, and commitment to staff support. Perfect candidate will be: Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England Experienced in working with children and families including those from vulnerable groups. Creative, flexible and forward thinking in approach. Knowledgeable of Child Protection legislation and understanding of child protection issues. Constantly striving for continuous improvement to provide the best outcomes for children. Able to use excellent mediation and negotiation skills on behalf of service users. Highly skilled at building meaningful relationships with children and families to engage them in assessments and plans Committed to providing our service users with a high-quality service Experienced in working in a multi-disciplinary, interagency basis 4 Years plus QualifiedIn this role you will: Use skills, knowledge, and experience to make full assessment of risks protection and social care needs. Manage an agreed case load. Use specialist communication skills to achieve optimum outcomes for service users. Devise individual care plans, taking account of diversity and promoting dignity and empowerment.
