Construction Recruitment Group are currently seeking an experienced Asbestos Removal Contract Manager to join our client’s team in Bristol. Job Role The successful candidate will be able to prioritise and organise their workload efficiently and to work independently as well as part of a team. They will have prior experience working as a contract or project manager in asbestos removal. Responsibilities: • Managing both notifiable and non-notifiable projects. • Site visits to ascertain scope of works and to provide a quotation. • Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements prior commencement on works. • Keeping track of project finances and progress. • Development of customer/client relationships. • Management of multiple contracts. • Attend regular meetings with clients. • Adhering to all the technical and legislative aspects of the business including health, safety, quality and environmental issues. • The ability to multi-task and enjoy working under pressure to meet strict deadlines whilst taking overall responsibility for each contract is important. Skills and Qualifications: • Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a Contracts Manager role for a licenced Asbestos Removal Business. • Extensive industry experience, inclusive of all asbestos legislation. • Capability to organise and run several varied projects. • Must be IT literate. The ability to operate programming software such as MS Project and Asta would be an advantage. • Good communication, literacy and organisations skills. • Fully aware of Health, Safety and Environmental legislation with the ability to assess and then produce Risk Assessment, Method Statements and Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans. • Good commercial awareness. • Management experience with behavioural awareness
