Commercial Manager - Leading Midlands Sub-Contractor

This is a unique opportunity for a senior surveyor to progress into a commercial manager working for a leading Midlands Sub-Contractor who work with majority of the well-known housing developers It's a family ran business who have been going for over 15 years and have over 70 staff with a £6.5m+ turnover last year. This really is a fantastic business, with excellent cash flow and profits which is continually reinvested into the business. They're growing and you will feel valued and looked after. Its genuinely a fun and collaborative working environment within a close-knit team in a modern, open place office. This would be office based (although plenty of flexibility is offered) at their offices located in Stratford-Upon-Avon In terms of package for the right person they are willing to pay up to £70K + car allowance/company car + bonus scheme What are we looking for? * An experienced QS or Commercial Manager with a proven track record working in the commercial department of a medium to large house builder. * Someone who can fit straight into our Senior Leadership team and can demonstrate initiative, clear thinking and great time management skills. * You need to be a problem solver with a positive "can do" approach, used to working with multiple sites at one time. * Attention to detail that is second to none ensuring every penny is accounted for. * A real people person and strong communicator with an ability to form and maintain fantastic relationships with our valued clients. * An expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and generally very strong IT knowledge. What will you be doing for us? * Working closely with our internal Operations and Accounting teams you will maintain complete control of all Cumulative Site Applications ensuring all completed works are entered onto the monthly application and distributed to clients before cut off dates. * Liaise monthly with client surveyors to ensure any queries are resolved and confirm amounts signed off for payment. * Reconciliation of incoming payment certificates against applications to accurately track income and debt positions. * Communicate monthly with client surveyors to chase unpaid amounts. * Compile reports for the directors detailing sales and debt data.
