Financial Controller - South Leeds - Manufacturing

This new Financial Controller opportunity will oversee the finance team at very impressive and modern Leeds site! The role will report directly to the Regional Finance Director as number 2 in finance, and take responsibility for the day to day overseeing of the Leeds finance function. The site is based in South Leeds, but the business operate hybrid working, working 3 days on the office and 2 from home. ***The ideal candidate will be an established FM/FC with experience working in manufacturing or FMCG, with previous knowledge of SAP (or similar) and SOX*** The key duties of this role include: Lead and manage the finance team. Provide proactive business support and financial analysis to the management team Monthly Management and statutory audited accounts Monthly P&L’s comparison to budgets Monthly balance sheets and Monthly cash analysis Review Balance sheet reconciliations Oversee AP/AR, credit control, banking, VAT returns  Prepare accurate and timely annual financial plans/budgets and monthly outlooks/forecasts  Support the Finance Controller – Compliance UK in maintaining effective internal controls  Support the site management team in the appraisal of new investment proposals Proactively contribute to a continuous analysis to remove or drive down costs and maximise revenues  Proactively participate in the continuous analysis and review of site profitability  Co-ordinate and control regular reviews of debtor and creditor reviews to ensure accuracy of records. The successful candidate will: Be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - Essential Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Financial Controller role - ideally in Manufacturing or FMCG Have previous knowledge of SAP - Desirable Have previous knowledge of SOX and SAO - Highly Desirable Have experience of working to tight reporting deadlines - Highly Desirable What's on offer?
