Neuro Physiotherapist

Blackstone Recruitment are working with a Private client who are recruiting a Senior/ Specialist Neuro Physiotherapist to join their new facility based in South London. This is a Permanent job to start ASAP. Job Summary Responsible for: providing a comprehensive specialist physiotherapy service for patients requiring neuro-rehabilitation and general rehabilitation in both inpatient and outpatient settings. * To undertake uni-professional, multi-professional and neuro-specialist physiotherapy assessments using evidence-based outcome measures, in a variety of settings i.e. patients home, clinic, community centre. * Patients will be 16 years and over and are likely to have complex multi-pathologies (including acquired or progressive neurological conditions, musculoskeletal conditions, respiratory disease, cognitive impairment mental health disorders and age-related conditions). The caseload will also include people who have had a stroke who require early specialist stroke rehabilitation. JOB PURPOSE * To be an active member of the inter-disciplinary team * To assess and treat own caseload of patients who have a neurological diagnosis and may have a complex presentation * To work within professional standards and clinical guidelines, promote best practice and to undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner * To build up and maintain key relationships with referring services and to facilitate appropriate referrals, and an understanding of the roles within the neuro rehabilitation team * To take an active role in the weekly time tabling meetings to prioritise and ensure a timely response for assessments and treatments * To be responsible for the supervision and line management of junior staff, including physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants and physiotherapy students * To support self and service development through active participation in continuing professional development (CPD) and by participating in any audit or research being undertaken by the service Job Specifics Salary: £ Competitive with agenda for change and LW (as applicable) Working Hours: 40 hours - Mon – Friday Contract Type: Permanent Essential Criteria * Diploma/degree in Physiotherapy * Current HPC registration * Evidence of CPD relevant to treatment of neurological conditions * Evidence of up to date CPD portfolio * Involvement in Appraisal and KSF Scheme * Member of CSP * Member of ACPIN and other relevant special interest groups For further information on this role, please contact Ella Wratten at Blackstone Recruitment on the details provided or APPLY now.
