Tenancy Officer

Tenancy Officer Hull I am recruiting for a local authority who is looking for a Tenancy Officer to help support the team with Routine Tenancy Visits, Pre Notice Inspections, Visit in Pairs and Low Rise Flat Inspections to name some of the tasks.You will need to have access to a vehicle to and comfortable being out on the patch the majority of the day. You will be the first point of contact for residents supporting them to manage their tenancies and ensure rent is collected in line with the Council's tenancy agreement, housing legislation and policies and procedures; actions could have significant financial implications in managing a total rent debit of around £98m citywide. You will deliver an excellent local Housing Management service to tenants and other stakeholders in the city. Ensuring areas are high performing by improving neighbourhoods through tenancy management, identifying issues and acting on feedback from customers and the community. Key Responsibilities Ensure tenants comply with the conditions of their tenancy agreement. Investigate breaches of tenancy; gather information and evidence drawing on a range of data sources to inform decisions to manage the case. Serve legal notices on tenants, prepare reports and witness statements to ensure tenancy conditions are complied with. Work with tenants, and partners to deal with issues where these are identified and find appropriate solutions. Management of empty or abandoned properties making sure the property is safe and secure, and procedures are followed to end the tenancy correctly. Be first point of contact for individuals requiring urgent rehousing, some of whom may be at risk of serious harm/experiencing threats to life, including medical priority moves for people with severe mental health, downsizing moves for tenants who are under occupying/experiencing significant financial hardship and high-risk domestic violence cases. The roles are based predominately in the West of the City however flexibility is needed to meet the demands of the business. Flexible working is available
