Residential Home Based Building Surveyor

Main Purpose of the Job: Undertaking surveying activities and delivering projects that significantly contribute to the success of the team. Providing value-for-money solutions and innovation in line with client and customer needs. Owning and driving revenue-generating activities to achieve business objectives for yourself and the team.Position in Organisation: This role reports to the Regional Surveying and Projects Manager. Main Responsibilities: Surveying properties and preparing detailed specifications of works for civil, fabric, and M&E assets. Conducting building defect assessments and producing clear reports to assist customers in decision-making. Advising customers on technical solutions and options to maximize value for money. Undertaking tender analysis and producing reports for informed contractor selection. Liaising with external parties to deliver seamless service in project development and specification. Preparing documentation in accordance with CDM 2015 regulations and ensuring compliance. Supervising works to ensure excellent customer care and contractor performance. Contributing to contractor and consultant performance management. Undertaking CPD and identifying potential business opportunities within the residential portfolio.Areas of Responsibility/Accountability: This role is part of one of three Regional Surveying and Project Delivery teams across the UK. Key Interfaces: Property Managers, Regional Managers, and Heads of Operations. External businesses and organizations, particularly key customers and clients.Qualifications: Degree/HND in Surveying or related subject. MRICS, MCIOB, or similar professional qualification highly desirable.Experience: Substantial technical surveying experience in Property Management. Demonstrable project delivery experience managing contractors. Sound commercial understanding and ability to articulate performance. In-depth understanding of H&S issues, regulations, and the Residential Property Sector.Technical Skills: Project management and delivery. Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products.
