Account Manager £45,000 + bonus "Credible, personable, approachable and relationship-focused." These are the words, Sandy, the Regional Director for energystore used to describe the ideal candidate. This is from a conversation that I had with Sandy: Can you describe what it's like to work there? "energystore has been continually growing year on year for the past 8 years and we still believe we are only at the start. We are continually developing new products and solutions and moving into new markets so there is always something new coming down the track. The growth has resulted in changes to the business as we have become more professional as the contracts have got bigger. However, the core values of the company are what makes the company a great place to work, and these core values are still at the heart of what we do now. Our people are one of our core values and treating everyone fairly and as a team member. We have a very flat structure making everyone accessible and how helpful and friendly people are within the company is something that is a big plus of working at energystore." Can you tell me a little about the Account Management team at present? "The account management team at present consists of 2 team members with one based in Scotland and the other in the North West both locations close to our factories in those regions. Customer accounts are largely split geographically at the moment with each account manager having their own area and customer base. We work closely together as many of our customers are working across the country and collect or get deliveries from multiple factories. As a team we have largely focused on establishing our customer base and looking after them for our core product. Now we are expanding into new products and services with the same ethos as we sell our core product and that is to offer a great service to the customer and build a partnership and relationship with them – they aren’t just a number!" What are the long-term prospects for the role? "As we grow and expand our product range and services we will look to grow the team. Depending in what direction that goes will impact on the team make-up. Due to the fast-growing nature of the company, there will be opportunities for progression and development and our first port of call is to always look internally for team members to make the step up. In the medium term I would see the opportunities being for a move to senior account manager however with some of the new products and services there is the opportunity to potentially branch out and lead a product line but we are not at this point yet." You’ll cover the Southern region and ideally live in a commutable distance to their Northampton site. Accounts range in value from £100k - £1M+ per year. You’ll be a team player and understand the impact of great customer service.
