Freight Coordinator - Leeds - Up to £35,000 Our client, who are an independent freight forwarder are looking for a Freight Coordinator to join their team in Leeds. As Freight Coordinator, you will be tasked to complete the full start-to-finish process of dealing with their Air and Sea freight customers. The role will be office-based and will provide plenty of opportunities for future progression in the team. Job type: Permanent Hours: 8.30 am to 5.00 pm - Monday to Friday Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE Holiday: 25 days per year plus Bank Holidays. Duties: Preparing shipping and customs documentation in compliance with legal obligations; ensuring that paperwork for shipments is complete and correct prior to dispatch; filing paperwork; and maintaining records Checking customs documentation such as import/export declarations, resolving queries and ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Arranging collection of orders and worldwide deliveries. Communication internally with other teams and externally with clients and suppliers. Receiving customer orders; comparing with quotations; working with other departments to resolve queries; and preparing and sending sales acknowledgements to customers whilst also adhering to company policies and legal requirements. Ensuring customers are fully informed with all relevant information regarding their orders and shipments. Responding to queries from customers on a daily basis. Record Keeping: Maintaining electronic and paper-based records required to meet compliance obligations. Perform a variety of administrative duties, such as generating and distributing documentation, spreadsheets and forms. Assist with billing by preparing and sending invoices; maintain client databases; track accounts; oversee the invoice workflow, and assist in copying and distributing production orders and other internal documents as requestedSkills: Experience in Air or/and Sea freight working for a UK based freight forwarder Good communication, language, literacy, numeracy, problem solving and organisational skills Level headed and the ability to work under pressure Work independently or as part of a team Handle multiple projects at any one time WR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
