Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry. The Utility Surveyor will be responsible for surveying activities such as geospatial, measured building surveys, 3D laser scanning, topographic surveys, ground penetrating radar (GPR), subsurface engineering services, monitoring solutions, rail surveys, photogrammetry, UAV/drone surveys, tunnel and pipe jacking surveys. Murphy Applied Engineering is a multidisciplinary function, implementing the 'Better Engineered' strategic driver to achieve smart, safe and constructible solutions with project timeframes. Covering a range of industry sectors including water, energy and power; Murphy Applied Engineering provides specialist engineering support in the following disciplines: Mechanical, Geotechnical, Process, Surveying and both Permanent and Temporary works within Civil and Structural infrastructure. What you will be doing: Preparing relevant method statements and risk assessments with regards to survey activities. Managing health and safety, quality, and environmental procedures on site, ensuring compliance with standard survey procedures in the delivery of the works Collecting and processing of various on-site survey information, e.g., from topography, control network, geospatial monitoring, utilities, rail, tunnelling and UAVs surveys. Ensuring setting out and quality assurance of the works are completed in accordance with the project requirements in a timely manner.  Advising surveyor manager of resources required to ensure timely completion of projects/programmes. Quality checking processed information from team members prior to submission Collaborating with Geospatial team members to develop and maintain survey methodologies, procedures, and quick guides. Supporting the survey manager with project cost estimations and quotes and expansion of geospatial department  Promoting the geospatial department’s services via communications and marketing to projects within Murphy Group and actively finding new survey solutions to improve efficacy, quality, and safety on Murphy projects.   Who we are looking for: Degree in Land Surveying or Engineering Surveying CSCS Card Construction / Survey Experience Experience in utility surveying. Experience in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD / N4CE, StarNet, Infinity and/ or Trimble Business Centre. Experience in setting up manual and automated monitoring systems for different sectors
