Position Overview: As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer/Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the continuous operation of our manufacturing facilities. This role requires a time-served individual with hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a factory setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Conduct routine maintenance tasks on electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and compliance with safety standards. Troubleshoot electrical faults, diagnose issues, and implement effective solutions to minimize downtime and production interruptions. Perform preventative maintenance inspections and testing on electrical systems, machinery, and control panels to identify potential issues and address them proactively. Carry out repairs, replacements, and upgrades of electrical components, including wiring, motors, switches, and circuit breakers, following established procedures and safety guidelines. Collaborate with maintenance team members and production staff to coordinate maintenance activities and prioritize tasks based on production schedules and equipment availability. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory of spare parts and supplies. Adhere to health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Provide support and assistance to other maintenance staff and contractors as needed, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance team performance. Requirements: Time-served Electrician with relevant electrical qualifications and certifications. Proven experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in a factory or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, controls, and components, with the ability to diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Flexible approach to work, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and schedules as required. Eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
