IT Support Technician (1st Line Support / Helpdesk)

Gloucester

GBP25,000 to GBP27,000 + Contributory Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Group Life Assurance + Income Protection + Training and Development + Private Medical Insurance (After Probation)

9/10 Day Working Per Fortnight (Week 1 Monday to Friday, Week 2 Monday to Thursday) Start Time Between 07.45 to 8.45, Finish 16:30 to 17:30

IT Support Technician required to provide 1st line support within an industry leading supplier of manufacturing machinery with a reputation of global excellence. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company during an exciting period of growth.

This role would suit candidates either with industry experience providing IT support and/or an IT graduate (or equivalent).

Reporting into the company s IT Manager, the successful candidate will work within a small team of three where you will contribute to the support and enhancement of the company s IT infrastructure, ensuring seamless connectivity and availability of IT systems.

The IT Technician Role:

Dealing with all of the 1st line issues within the business
Provisioning, maintaining, monitoring, and supporting end-user hardware, operating systems, and client software.
Managing and supporting IT infrastructure equipment, including physical and virtual servers, storage arrays, network switches, firewalls, wireless access points, phone systems, mobile devices, and other necessary equipment.
Responding to technical support calls
Test disaster recovery procedures

The IT Technician Candidate:

Experience of providing 1st line IT support and/or an IT graduate (or equivalent)
