Management Accountant


Your Company: A fantastic non-profit business is searching the market for a dedicated Management Accountant to join their team working in Southwest London. This impressive non-profit partners with varying local governing bodies and other organisations to provide leisure, sportal and cultural services to the local community, striving to ensure that everyone can have access to these services. The position holder will be immersed into a dynamic role, whereupon they will be undertaking typical management accounting duties, alongside some wider finance responsibilities, gaining the successful candidate excellent experience. This will be a key role within the overall finance function and will be highly valued across the business. Role and Responsibilities While in this position your duties may include but are not limited to: Handling the production of monthly management accounts in full, insuring these are completed on time and with any additional relevant information or data as needed Taking responsibility for overseeing the finance function and the staff in business as usual operations Monitoring the accounting policies to ensure they are compliant with relevant accounting standards and that these are followed by staff Managing the monthly payroll to ensure that payments are processed in a timely fashion Supporting the preparation of financial statements as well as budgets and forecasts Overseeing HMRC tax compliance activities and submitting quarterly VAT returns Analysing and producing reports of financial data for management Implementing financial systems, policies and procedures, ensuring these allow for greater effectivness across the business and meet business needs Monitoring cash flow, budget variances and expenses Providing your exprtise and support on budgeting processes and funcing decisions along with the development of strategies What You Will Need To Apply: To be considered for this role, applicants should be part or fully qualified ACCA, ACA or CIMA accountant. In addition, applicants will have good comparable experience, handling management accounts and wider financial and accounting duties. A good aptitude for accounting systems, specifically Xero and related applications and other IT software, such as Excel, would be highly beneficial in this role. Exposure to the charitable sector and also experience of financial systems implementations, is highly desireable for this role. Applicants should have excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms. What You Will Get In Return: The successful candidate for this role will be entitled to a starting salary of up to £45,000.
