Job Title:Land Manager Location:Peterborough Thorn Baker's award-winning client is looking for a Land and Partnerships Manager to join their commercial team. This is a great opportunity to work with a growing housing developer with exciting new projects commencing in the East Midlands and Eastern area. You will be responsible for the identification, appraisal, and acquisition of development sites, working closely with the planning and technical teams to ensure maximum contribution is achieved from all land purchases. You will be working with Registered Providers, PRS and LA partners to identify and acquire land and secure development agreements for 'Partnership' projects. Your Responsibilities: Identification, appraisal and acquisitionof development sites, including financial analysis, contract negotiation and offer submission. Establishing and maintaining a high profile and good relationships with property contacts from local authorities, agents, landowners and other developers Monitor the company's land database. Maintain knowledge of all commercial, legal, planning, and technical aspects relating to the acquisition and development of land and associated agreements. Ensure that land files are maintained in accordance with company policy and procedures. Update the Board and senior management team on potential and existing land acquisitions, ensuring that opportunities are brought to their attention in a timely manner. Work with Registered Providers, PRS and LA partners to identify and acquire land and secure development agreements for 'Partnership' projects. Required Skills: Qualification to degree standard in a relevant subject, e.g., Planning, Property Surveying, Technical Engineering, and/or with membership of professional institute is preferred. Familiarity with all aspects of land purchase, including sales, commercial, technical, design and legal. Sound technical knowledge with good financial/commercial acumen. Strong interpersonal skills, able to work as part of a team or in isolation and manage external working relationships. Fully conversant with Microsoft Word and Excel. Full UK driving licence.
