Contracts/Operations Manager

Our client is a major Tier 1 main building contractor with a regional base in Bristol. Established in the region for over 20 years, they have capacity to carry out a diverse range of projects up to £100 million in value. Due to ongoing growth, they have approached us with the need to recruit a Regional Operations Manager into their business. Reporting into the Regional MD, your role will involve overseeing and managing multiple project teams across the region. You will also play a very key role in identifying new opportunities and work winning, as well as recruiting new staff into the team. In addition, you will also look to maximise profit in line with the company regional budget. This is a Senior Management role required to provide a higher level of managerial direction and support to site teams to enable them to achieve a successful outcome to their Projects in terms of profit, timeliness and quality within a safe environment. In the senior site representative function, you will ultimately be responsible for the resourcing, development and leadership of a team, defining and communicating project objectives and constraints and complying with health, safety and environmental legislation, thereby delivering the end product on time, within budget and to the agreed quality. This role would suit a candidate with the following skills and experience: Tier 1 construction or larger contractor background Reside within commutable distance of the Bristol area Experience as a Senior Contracts Manager or Operations Manager, overseeing multiple large projects.
