SEND 1:1 Tutor - Wisbech

Outreach 1:1 Primary and Secondary education tutors urgently needed - Wisbech Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEND /HLTA's/tutors/teachers. We are looking for a Qualified SEND Tutor to support a student with ASD in need of KS1-KS2 core subject support outside of the classroom. This student requires tutoring 5 hours per day, three days a week at a local venue. Due to the child's needs, there will be a a support assistant working alongside the Tutor. As a SEND Outreach Tutor, you must be able to create, plan and deliver 1:1 tailored lesson to bridge gaps in pupil's education and boost engagement and attainment levels. This opportunity is great for an experienced teacher who is looking to step away from the classroom to offer more personalised, enjoyable lessons. Most of these pupils will have been out of education for some time, so the confidence levels may be very low. It is your responsibility to reengage them in their learning and offer structure back into their daily routine. Requirements Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEND classes ranging from KS1-KS5 QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years experience teaching NC core subjects Two years of teaching in a UK school to SEND pupils Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs.
