SEND 1:1 Tutor - Huntingdon

Ackerman Pierce work closely with County Councils and Schools to provide one to one tutoring for children waiting for school placements. The children we are looking to support have a range of additional complex needs and so we are seeking experienced SEN /HLTA's/tutors/teachers. We are currently recruiting for a SEND Tutor to provide face to face provision to a year 11 SEND Student within a secondary school. The student has a diagnosis of ADHD and is in need of 1:1 Alternative provision for English and Maths Functional Skills due to gaps in his learning. The role is to start ASAP. with 4-5 tutoring sessions per week. Location - Huntingdon Position - SEND Tutor Start date - ASAP End date (if applicable) - ongoing Contract type - Temporary Full time/part time - Part time Rate of pay £25 - £30 per hour Hours - Tuition takes place between 0830am and 1630pmWe are looking for candidates who are:- Available during school hours up to 15 hours per week. Experienced in delivering differentiated National Curriculum core subjects. Experience teaching young people with a wide range of complex and challenging needs including SEMH/ASC/MLD/SpLD Exceptional behaviour management strategies. Prepared to work face to face within the community.Requirements Background teaching in English, Maths, Science or SEND classes ranging from KS1-KS5. QTS status (or equivalent) or unqualified with two years' experience teaching NC core subjects Experience working with ASD/EBD/SEMH and associated complex needs. 2 years previous experience working within a UK school.Why Choose Ackerman Pierce?
