Respite Support Worker

Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Respite Support Worker to join a Local Authority in the Doncaster area. They are looking for people who can work full time, on shifts of either earlies (07:00am-14:00pm), lates (14:00pm-22:00pm) or nights (22:00pm-07:00am) on a block booking basis. They are looking for an applicant who can work 20 hours per week over 4 days, as well as a candidate who can work 30 hours per week over 5 days. This is a respite care service providing short stays for adults with learning disabilities and other associated disabilities. This role requires you to be able to travel to 2 locations within Doncaster, however public transport links are easily available to both locations. Both respite services will provide care for up to 9 adults who have learning disabilities. Key Duties: * Support service users with their daily living needs including personal, nutritional, social and emotional needs in line with their individual care plans * Support service users to access new activities/opportunities and leisure interests to stimulate and encourage independence * Implement and support the use of outcome based support plans, to help individuals make informed choices and decisions * Active involvement with handovers, meetings and reviews in a professional manager * Responsibility to ensure that any concern about the alleged abuse of an adult at risk is addressed ensuring the correct procedures are followed and implemented Requirements: * Have UK based support work experience (at least 6 months) * Experience in health and social care * Must be flexible to work overtime where required and a mixture of both early and late shifts as well as weekend cover Company benefits: * Great development opportunities * 24/7 Assistance * Free DBS Check and Mandatory Online Training Modules * Weekly payroll * Referral Benefit Scheme
