Hyde Coatings Ltd is currently recruiting a Building and Plant Maintenance Operative based at one of our bespoke treatment facilities in Stalybridge on a day shift. As a Building and Plant Maintenance Operative you will be responsible for arranging or carrying out routine and emergency repairs to equipment, fixtures, fittings and building systems whilst maintaining the general cleanliness and safety within the building. Duties include but are not limited to; * Responding to reports of broken or faulty items * Conducting routine inspections of the building and equipment and liaising with external specialists and contractors. * To ensure the plant and building is kept in good working order and is well maintained at all times. * Supporting all levels of Total Preventative maintenance in all areas of the building including shopfloor, offices and effluent plant. * Ownership of all service plans for equipment including costs and support for working around production. * Outdoor grounds maintenance including but not limited to, salt spreading, general cleaning of the grounds, arranging for gardening work to be carried out. * Documenting all maintenance work via log system to demonstrate control of open and closed tasks. * Maintaining vehicles, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively * Inspecting and troubleshooting problems and issues reported by colleagues * Must be comfortable with use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. * Supporting the Operations team with maintaining and promoting a clean, safe working site. Essential Skills; * Hands on with tools with a knowledge of using Microsoft Office. Desired Skills; * Maintenance role experience and familiar with using various tools and equipment. * Good communication and planning skills. Experience required; * Minimum of 1 year in a similar role Qualifications required; * Any trade qualifications would be beneficial.
