Purchase Ledger Assistant


Are you an organised and detail-oriented individual with a passion for managing invoices and supplier accounts? Are you seeking a role that offers both challenges and opportunities for growth? Our client, a leading organisation based in Nantwich, is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant to join their dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the registration, approval, and payment of invoices in a timely manner.
Manage suppliers and their queries to ensure smooth operations.
Accurately register incoming invoices into the system.
Match invoices to COs and POs.
Distribute unmatched documents and queries to relevant internal departments.
Develop strong working relationships with suppliers for efficient query resolution.
Set up and maintain new supplier accounts.
Prepare and check supplier BACS payments.
Handle Bankline payments for invoices in foreign currencies.
Provide assistance with employee expense queries on SAP Concur.
Manage manual expense and mileage claims.
Ensure the accuracy of submitted claims before registration and payment.
Efficiently manage petty cash.
Prepare monthly journals in AX, ensuring accurate cost and VAT recording.
Complete company credit card reviews and journal posting.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role is required.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of relevant accounting software (e.g., AX).
Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
Ability to effectively communicate and build relationships with suppliers.
A valid driving licence is required due to the location of the office.
