Principal SAP Solutions Architect - Hybrid

Harvey Nash is currently recruiting for a permanent role with our client, a leading organisation in the retail industry who are currently undergoing lots of change and transformation. It is a really exciting time for an enthusiastic Solutions Architect to join the team and have instant impact in the successful implementation of S/4 Finance and rollout of SAP across the wider business.

As a Principal SAP Solutions Architect, you'll be our expert in SAP design, and we'll look to you to lead on our roadmap definition, drive strategic development, and proactively support the delivery of solutions in-line with proposed designs.

The role:

• Lead the design direction for our SAP solutions, providing expertise and guidance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that designs fit within our IT landscape.
• Analyse solution options, make key design decisions, and complete the appropriate architecture design documentation.
• Ensure that the delivered solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.
• Stay informed about new technologies, relevant industry trends, and the latest innovations. Use this knowledge to influence practical architecture designs and decisions.
• Contribute to our architecture community of practice by sharing your knowledge and experience with other colleagues.

The candidate:

• Extensive SAP Lead Design Experience: Demonstrated expertise in SAP architecture design, best practices, and standards.
• Complex SAP Project Involvement: Successfully contributed to intricate SAP projects, including those with tightly integrated end-to-end solutions, particularly within the finance domain.
• Industry-Specific SAP Finance Knowledge: Proficient in SAP Finance, with experience in industries such as Retail, Wholesale, or Consumer Packaged Goods.
• Solid Understanding of S/4 Finance: Well-versed in key S/4 Finance processes, including Management and Financial Reporting, Financial Planning & Analysis, AP/AR, Tax, and Treasury.
• Effective Communication and Relationship-Building: Skilled at influencing and constructively challenging individuals across diverse contexts.
