Contracts Manager | Refurbishment / Fit-Out London Start May / June 2024 Circa £80,000 - £90,000 | salary package (negotiable - to include travel / bonus) Proven Contracts Manager, with good all-round building knowledge, to work on refurb / fit-out projects in a role that would suit someone who is looking to establish themselves as the key figurehead for site operations within a small business, reporting to the Managing Director / Owner. This small, cash-rich, privately owned family business has an excellent reputation in the refurbishment and fit-out sector Summary of role: ·Responsible for all construction aspects of a job ·Mixture of site visits and option to work from home (rather than having to come to the office although can work from their London offices as and when required) ·10 / 15 years of site experience under their belt (post trade background) and relevant contracts management experience. ·Visit sites regularly, attend client meetings, project meetings and manage Site Managers running the jobs. ·Oversee multiple projects and report directly to the MD Duties: ·Undertaking contracts management for commercial Cat A fit-out & residential contracts from £50,000 up to the value of £1.5m. Traditional JCT with Design ·Responsible for managing simultaneous projects following receipt of drawings and a schedule to completion. ·Lead role, client facing / liaison; H&S, managing site team & sub-contractors and chairing site meetings. The Person: ·Initial trade background would be advantageous ·Good all-round building knowledge (understands building, structural works and drainage in addition to their refurbishment and fit-out experience). ·Good eye for detail (can spot issues on a site walk-around pre-start and during works) ·Honest and transparent ·Enjoys a variety of different projects ·Excellent communicator ·Calm under pressure, diplomatic and not bullish in their approach ·Someone who is looking to establish themselves as a key figurehead within a small business, reporting to the Managing Director / Owner.
