Welder Fabricator

We are looking for experience Welder Fabricators with aluminium TIG experience to join our expanding client in Rotherham on a permanent basis. Welder Fabricators Rotherham - S60 £29,250 Monday to Thursday 7am to 5:30pm – 37.5 hours Permanent This is an exciting position to join a team that work closely with the engineering department. The Welder Fabricator will be generating and working from first type sketches. The role will require occasional overtime to be worked to meet production / customer delivery dates. What the Welder Fabricator will be doing: Maintain a record of parts/materials regarding fabrication activities Reporting drawing and installation errors to the design engineer Perform TIG or MIG operations on engineering material including aluminium (and steel where required) Complete fabricated shaping, grinding, riveting and welding sheet metal parts Read engineering drawings and understand engineering designs necessary for the fabrications of parts, including material specification, dimensions and interference/clearance conditions Be responsible for the manufacture of inhouse products for standard production parts to meet production lead times What we are looking for in the Welder Fabricator? Proven experience of welding aluminium using TIG Experience of welding steel using MIG Experience using Oxyethylene cutting equipment is desired Ability to manufacture own welding fixtures to aid manufacture, assembly and accuracy Ability to interpret engineering drawings, ISO welding notations and work to drawing tolerances Desired experience using CAD Desired FLT License The Company The UK’s largest designer and manufacturer of electric drive systems including EV system requirements, heavy goods and specialist application vehicles.  They pride themselves on their forward-thinking and progressive company dedicated on supporting their workforce, including trialling a 4 day working week, healthcare and cycle to work schemes.
