Transport Planning Manager

Associate Transport Consultant – Public Sector Birmingham £75k plus excellent benefits package An excellent opportunity has arisen with this dynamic transportation specialist to assist the group in their growing public sector facing team. Ideally you will have a strong Transport Planning background in a public sector environment. This will include experience of delivering and project managing small to medium sized commissions (depending on experience and role) with both public and private sector clients. A confident communicator you will have considerable experience in public sector facing transport planning and/or working in a public sector transport planning team. This will include experience of a wide range of multi-modal transport projects as well as experience of public sector governance processes and working in a political environment. Significant experience in the production of, and providing advice regarding, transport strategies and policies as well as the development of business cases and funding bids, including knowledge of Government Business Case guidance including TAG. A knowledge and experience of applying government policy and guidance to projects accompanied by an understanding of the planning process in England. You will be a great mentor to your team and possess excellent Project Management skills. Additionally a strong technical background with knowledge of industry specific modelling software.
