Electrical & Controls Engineer Days Only (Mon - Thurs 8am - 5pm Fri 8am - 15:15pm) £50,500 Per Annum + Excellent Benefits Stanlow / Ellesmere Port gap technical are proud to be representing a market Leading manufacturing business in their search for an Electrical Controls Engineer to work at their facility based near Stanlow / Ellesmere Port Performance Objectives Electrical maintenance of production equipment to minimise down time. Carry out all electrical activities within the plant in a smooth, safe and sufficient manner. Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures within the department. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate and troubleshoot problems. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing equipment, to ensure compatibility and safety of systems. To liaise with other departments on a regular basis to help minimise downtime. Responsible for the maintenance of plant equipment to minimise production down time and to identify and rectify all electrical problems on all machines and process equipment within the plant. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance. Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications. Ensure adherence to company safety standards, policies, and procedures.Person Specification Time served electrical engineering technician - Level 3 / ONC / City & Guilds qualified. HNC/HND Desirable 18th Edition wiring regs HV experience - Desirable Experience working on gas burner systems. Experience using SAP - Desirable CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) experience Strong knowledge of complex electrical systems, including ones involving PLC's, Servo motors, and VFD's Experience with industrial networks, such as Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet, Asi bus and Modbus Ability to read electrical schematics.
