IT/OT Engineer - Telecoms


RESPONSIBILITIES: Execute corrective and preventive maintenance activities independently or through contractors. Identify and mitigate technical risks related to IT/OT networks and communications systems. Share lessons learned and best practices with other Offshore Hubs. Coordinate maintenance activities with offshore site teams. Define and implement strategies for maintaining IT/OT networks and communications systems, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal service quality. Collaborate on technical solutions for new offshore projects and ensure performance and maintainability. Prepare Scope of Works, Suppliers Technical Evaluations, and actively participate in procurement processes. Interact with Global Technical Services, Offshore site teams, OEMs, and regulatory bodies as needed. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Efficiently manage maintenance contracts, minimising costs, and contributing to business EBITDA. Conduct Root Cause Analysis for technical issues and implement necessary actions to prevent re-occurrence. PROFILE/REQUIREMENTS: Degree in relevant field (electronics, digital control, automation, or communications) High proficiency in industrial control systems and relevant protocols. Logical thinking, risk assessment, and future planning skills. Languages: English (high level), other useful languages like German, French, Spanish. Experience in contracting, engineering support, and maintenance. Capacity to work in an international and multicultural team. Organisational and operational skills with technical judgement and decision-making ability. Knowledge of SCADA applications, DCS, PLCs, and equipment in Offshore wind projects. Self-motivated, willing to learn, and excellent communication skills. IT literate with proficiency in MS Office and project management software. Significant experience in IT/OT networks and communications systems roles. Flexible to travel around Europe and overseas. DESIRABLE SKILLS: Experience in offshore operations sector. Track record in operation and maintenance delivery. Knowledge of H&S and environmental legislation for marine/offshore projects. GWO certificates for offshore works. Cultural awareness. Postgraduate experience in wind farm operations
