Centre Manager | Private Diagnostic Provider Up to £65,000 DOE Full Time Portsmouth Remit Compass Associates are proud to be representing a leading private healthcare provider in their search for a Centre Manager to lead their new Healthcare Centre in Portsmouth. Our client is seeking an experienced healthcare manager/ practice manager to lead and motivate the team of clinicians and non-clinical staff in their patient focused clinic. Reporting directly to the Regional Manager, you will take responsibility for operational management and people of the site. You will be responsible for the quality, compliance, governance and will be the CQC registered manager, whilst overseeing the day-to-day management of the centre. This is a fantastic opportunity for a healthcare manager to work for a leading organisation. Mobilisation Elements Lead the operational mobilisation activities, including but not limited to - Agreement of patient pathways Creation of all site policies (including medical emergency/resus, risk assessment for all physical patient pathways, policy for urgent/significant pathology, etc) Ensuring all required equipment is identified and procured/provided Ensuring compliance with all accrediting bodies (such as CQC, ARSAC committee, Environment Agency, etc.) Agree case mix and protocols for each modality Agreement and set up of diaries, booking and scheduling - according to the defined pathways Lead the recruitment of the operational team that will deliver the service, including Impact assessment on existing workforce/services in the locality Formulate recruitment strategy in liaison with HR Creation of job descriptions Interview and onboarding Liaising and coordinating with Logistics and Mobile managers where mobile service needed to meet the requirements of the service Liaise closely with operational counterpart(s) at the NHS Trust to ensure Effective communication Joined-up service design that delivers optimal patient experience Service meets Trust policies Issues are understood and resolved appropriately to avoid delay to commencement of the service, and ensure that the service delivered meets its objectives in terms of contractual obligations, Trust and AML policy and best practice Understand the service contract, SLA's and business case for the CDC and ensure the service operates within the operational and financial tolerances set by these Business Development To lead and manage the team in building contacts and relationships with existing and potential new referrers covered by existing contractual arrangements including establishing and growing referrals of Private Patients. To monitor trends in referrals continuously to identify opportunities to increase business and to pick up indicators of potential dissatisfaction. Pursue all opportunities to increase appropriate referrals, including Private Patients and address promptly any issues which might deter referrals. To support the Business Development Manager in introducing new contracts and bringing on stream new referrals sources, new services with a particular focus on Private revenue streams. Financial Responsibilities Manage, understand, and grow the centre's budget and performance targets Maintain appropriate levels of clinical stock to ensure that service provision is facilitated in a cost effective way To lead/contribute to the process of budget development and agreement such that realistic stretch goals are achieved for revenue, costs and margin within the designated centre. To report monthly on the business plans To understand and report the key trends Contracts and Relationships with Stakeholders To maintain and develop strong working partnership relationships with the contracting trust Provide regular feedback on performance of the centre to all key stakeholders To ensure adherence to contractual terms To ensure that appropriate review meetings are timetabled and delivered in line with contractual expectations. Managing Change To lead key changes for your centre(s), contributing to and implementing new strategies using structured methods including project management methods in partnership with other functions as necessary. Demonstrate a problem solving approach to issues arising at a local level, highlighting areas of concern to the appropriate personnel and actively participate in the subsequent change management process People Management Responsibility To recruit, select, manage, engage, coach and develop the team in line with company procedures such that the centre(s) achieve their agreed goals. To maintain effective resourcing of the centre(s) through staff planning, rostering, training, management of absence/holidays and implementation of appropriate controls. To manage effective additional staffing requirements of the centre (s) utilising existing shared staffing arrangements To create, maintain and continually improve standards of both staff and patient health and safety in line with company and external standards. Where appropriate assist with the supervision, coaching and mentoring of staff within your own skill set Experience: Evidence of extra responsibility to support senior application Experience of managing a team Knowledge and experience of managing a business budget Experience in developing customer relationships Must be IT literate Enhanced DBS clearance required Full driving license essential for mobiles Flexibility to operate across multiple sites if required Clinical Experience (non-essential) BSc/DCR in Diagnostic Radiography and/or Diploma in Nuclear Medicine Minimum of 3 years' experience in on site modality Post Grad training in specialised field of MRI/CT an advantage IV Cannulation Certificate HCPC registration essential Recommendations Compass Associates Ltd is acting as a Recruitment Consultancy for this permanent vacancy; we offer £200 worth of John Lewis Vouchers for each successful recommendation.
