Electrical Project Engineer Battery Energy Storage System Sandwich, Kent £60,000 to £85,000 + excellent benefits, subject to experience Job Ref: J(phone number removed) Our client is an international operation, owning and operating some of the largest Battery Energy Storage Systems in the world. This is a site based role at Sandwich, Kent and with time also spent at our HQ in London. You will be pivotal in overseeing and managing critical construction projects in the energy storage sector. Your responsibilities will encompass the full project lifecycle, from inception to defects management. Collaboration is at the core of our approach, and you will build strong relationships with external partners to ensure we meet and exceed customer expectations. The Electrical Project Engineer will have a clear understanding of the how the all the interfacing electrical systems operate together. They will coordinate across all suppliers and stakeholders to deliver excellent design and then have a clear vision of how to convert the design into installation and operation to the highest standards of quality, safety and to time. The Electrical Project Engineer will do this by effectively managing supplier contracts, reviewing, and contributing to contractor designs and methods, managing the relationship and contracts with National Grid, auditing of supplier works and providing regular reporting to management and stakeholders. The role will be office based with regular visits to the site dependent on the project lifecycles. You will be responsible for: · Develop project requirements and contract documents. · Review contractor installation methods, ensure these are correct, safe and efficient. · Review manufacturer and contractor designs, ensure that these are correct, compliant and optimised. · Review programmes, ensure that these are correct and efficient. · Manage the grid code compliance process. · Conduct site audits on quality and safety. · Attend Factory Acceptance Tests representing the company. · Attend Site Acceptance Tests representing the company. · Write engineering and project progress reports. · Ensure document management system remains up to date with latest project drawings and documents. · Support project meetings with suppliers and partners. Qualifications and experience · Degree level or equivalent technical qualification in electrical or similar · At least 3 years' experience in an engineering role with project management or commissioning experience.You will have worked on projects at £1 million or above - You will have worked on projects at £1 million or above - Full UK Driving Licence Key Skills · Enjoys and excels at quickly grasping new engineering concepts. · An excellent engineering communicator. · Project management skills. · Highly organized and disciplined.
