Assistant Project Manager


We are recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join a Project Management and Development Consultancy firm providing advice to occupiers, developers and institutional investors across a variety of sectors including Logistics & Industrial, Offices, Student Accommodation and Residential. Job Role As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the project management team in delivering high-quality consultancy services to clients within the property development sector. You will assist in coordinating various aspects of development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the client's satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: * Assist in project planning, including setting objectives, determining resources, and establishing timelines. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients. Assist in monitoring project progress and identifying potential risks or issues, proactively implementing solutions to mitigate them. * Assist in budget management, tracking expenses, and ensuring adherence to financial guidelines. Assisting in the preparation and maintaining project documentation, including contracts, reports, and progress updates. Support in conducting site visits and inspections. * Assist in the procurement process. * Collaborate with the project team to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement. * Provide administrative support to the project management team, including scheduling meetings, taking minutes, and organising files. * Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to contribute to the continuous improvement of project delivery. Kind and empathetic * Inquisitive/ curious, self-aware, self-assured but with the absence of arrogance. * Safe professionally – nothing hidden, everything available for review and comment where appropriate * Setting egos aside and assess themselves candidly (being open minded to improvements) Qualifications and Skills Required * Bachelor's degree in surveying, construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or related field is desirable. * Previous experience in project management or property development consultancy is desirable. * Willingness to progress learning. * Confident individual with a professional attitude. * Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with excellent attention to detail. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the property development sector. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. * Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
