Lead Quality Engineer

Lead Quality Engineer 6-12 month contract Co.Cork Role Profile: Working a part of the Engineering and Major Projects team responsible for leading the engineering input during project execution stage, managing overhaul projects on existing Power Plant sites. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the successful execution of the overhaul works in line with the requirements set out by the overhaul project manager. The role will involve supporting the overhaul project team to deliver the project(s) safely, on schedule, on budget and to the required quality. Role Profile: You Will be working in partnership with the rest of the project team supporting the overhaul project manager with the safe and efficient delivery of the overhaul works. Ensuring that the OEM carry’s out their works safely, efficiently and in accordance with the agreed OEM and the sites defined processes and procedures. This position requires the applicant to be mobilised on site and support the day or nightshift phase of these works as may be required. Responsibilities: · Supporting the overhaul project manager with the safe and efficient delivery of the overhaul programme. · Ensuring the quality of the works are carried out in accordance with the agreed protocols. · Supervising the works and ensuring works are completed in accordance to the defined procedures. Identifying any issues and supporting the resolution of the same. · Reporting and documenting progress and feeding back to the project team and project manager. · Depending on other work demands the successful candidate may be required to take on other duties that may fit his/her competence. Requirements: · Relevant 3rd Level qualification · Experience of Gas and Steam Turbine overhauls. · Safety and environmental management experience, including understanding of the PSDP/PSCS roles and responsibilities. · Good working knowledge of all Mechanical, Electrical and C&I issues associated with Turbomachinery plant. · Excellent communications skills, including ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with team, contractors and key stakeholders. · Supervision / Reporting experience For immediate consideration please forward your CV
