Public Realm Operations Manager

We are currently recruiting for a Public Realm Operations Manager on behalf of our public sector client based in North London. This is a contract role initially for 3 to 6 months, with view for further extension thereafter. The hourly rate is between £25.05 to £26.71 per hour in line with the organisation's internal scale grades. The role will be responsible to the Service Manager for the provision of an effective Waste Management and Cleansing Service. This includes the deployment of staff, plant and machinery, management of sub depots. The successful applicant will have at least 1 year experience of managing waste operations. The successful applicant will have experience of leading a team. To assist the Service Manager in providing an effective and efficient service by providing effective management of front line teams in carrying out general and specialist cleansing, waste and winter maintenance management duties as directed To develop and manage work programmes, monitor service standards, ensure adequate resourcing and be responsible for all health and safety procedures Manage a front line service of up to 80 staff To work in partnership with the Estate Services in Housing and Commercial Waste service to ensure the effective waste management service in estates and Commercial Waste To maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with the service To ensure vehicles, plant and machinery are suitably maintained and to manage replacement plant and hires of replacement plant and vehicles Work with supervisors to raise standards and seek excellent across all services To organise and continuously develop work manuals To carry out the investigation of complaints and service failures and to support the preparation of responses To carry out quality and safety inspections of work carried out, supply daily reports in performance Adecco acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
