National Account Manager - Car Care


We have an exciting opportunity for a National Account Manager with a highly successful General Merchandise Distribution Company, to manage the Car Care and Automotive Aftermarket division. The company provide their customers with an end-to-end product solution, supported by an in-store merchandising service. This a key position within this business so they are looking for an ambitious, customer focused individual, with experience in the automotive sector, to come and be part of this amazing team. About the role Working across the wider group and liaising with senior stakeholders and directors, you will use your skills and experience to identify new business with car care and automotive-product retailers and wholesalers, as well as managing existing customer accounts in line with their ambitious growth strategy. This is a customer facing role where you'll be working in partnership with key clients, from reviewing existing products to providing commercial and service reports as well as being responsible for tender updates, joint business plans and new proposals. You will play a lead role in developing sales plans and providing customers with information about new products and promotions. About the person We would love to hear from you if you have experience in a customer facing Business Development Manager, National Account Manager or Sales Manager role where you will have a proven track record of identifying new business, as well as building effective relationships with existing customers in the car care and automotive products sector. Ideally you will have contacts within companies in the motorway services, forecourts and after-market parts distribution arenas. Either way, you will be familiar with managing a P&L and be commercially savvy, with demonstrable success of delivering results in a cost-effective manner. You will be home-based, but there is a strong focus on travelling to meet customers and teams at the company sites – which can cover all the UK.
