Principal Design Engineer

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturing company who are looking for a Principal Design Engineer.

The company design and manufacture large scale engineering products and are at the forefront of their industry with a focus on renewable technology.

Working in a dynamic R&D team this role will be a leading role in the management of a team and the delivery of new product development to support the strategy and overall business objectives to deliver carbon neutral products.

The Principal Design Engineer will be responsible for:

• Leading a team of engineers in the development of products
• Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure successful integration of project components
• Develop and manage 3D CAD engineering drawings and systems
• Ensuring structural and mechanical engineering calculations are validated
• Co-ordinate and lead design reviews

The Principal Design Engineer will need:

• A mechanical component or system design background and experience
• A relevant engineering degree or equivalent
• Experience of working in a manufacturing technical engineering environment
• Experience of managing and leading others
• A sound knowledge of mechanical principles and calculations
