Business Development Executive


Role Purpose Our client is a leading telecommunications provider for SMEs and corporate/enterprise clients including FTSE 100, 250 and 350 listed clients. Providing an extensive portfolio of enterprise mobile, data, fixed, VoIP, unified communications, IoT/M2M, connectivity, and cloud/IT solutions from the UK’s leading networks. They are a top-tier partner of the likes of Vodafone, O2, EE, BT, Gamma, etc and work with a wide range of leading unified comms and cloud providers About the Role We currently have a requirement for a new BDE. You will be booking appointments for the Business Development Managers (BDM’s). The BDM’s sell enterprise mobile, data, fixed, VoIP, unified communications, IoT/M2M, connectivity, and cloud/IT solutions to small and medium-sized companies. Your role as a BDE will be to focus on high value SME and Corporates and you will take full responsibility for arranging qualified meetings for our BDM’s. You have the option to book remote meetings (via MS Teams) or face to face meetings. Product and systems training provided. Working Relationships With: * Head of Sales: Reporting into * Subordinates: None * Team: Expected to develop good working relationship with other member of the sales team, including fellow BDEs, BDMs * Customers: Interacting with prospective clients via email, phone, MS Teams, LinkedIn etc. Liaising with key decision makers and influencers within companies to arrange meetings or email quote opportunities * Other external contacts: From time to time, you will undergo training and hence be required to interact with our suppliers and partners. Skills and Aptitudes * Ability to generate appointments and opportunities for the sales team * Professional and credible * Effective communication skills * Excellent telephone manner * Ability to research companies and decision makers before calling to make cold calls into warm calls * Ability to get past gate keepers * Ability to build rapport with decision makers and adapt to different stakeholders * Determination to succeed in a new business sales environment * Organised, pro-active, takes ownership * Punctual and dependable Job Knowledge and Experience * Experience in the telecommunications sector is preferable – If you are coming from another sector, you must be able to demonstrate your results in that sector * 1 to 3 years of appointment setting and/or telemarketing experience Qualifications * Degree – Preferable but not essential.
