Lead Technical Operator Location:  Dartford, Kent Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 Shifts: Day Shift Are you an experienced Lead Technical Operator looking for a new challenge? Key Responsibilities: Management of Production Operations: Lead and supervise a team of production workers to ensure efficient and safe operation of machinery and equipment. Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing downtime. Monitor production metrics such as output, quality, and efficiency, and take corrective actions as necessary to meet targets. Be prepared to jump onto a forklift if necessary to support the team. (Forklift training will be available if required). Machinery Repair and Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns. Diagnose mechanical technical problems with production equipment and implement timely repairs with external contractors where necessary. Coordinate with maintenance technicians or external service providers for complex repairs or scheduled maintenance tasks. Training and Development: Train production workers on proper operating procedures, safety protocols, and basic maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Provide guidance and support to team members in troubleshooting equipment problems and implementing solutions. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and waste elimination within the production environment
