Assistant Product Manager - £26,000 - £28,000 - Eastleigh - Hybrid role working from home 2 days a week Are you ready to take your product management career to the next level within a thriving global organisation? As an Assistant Product Manager, you'll be at the helm of both product planning and marketing strategies across a diverse range of product lines. Your role will encompass the full spectrum of product lifecycle management, from conceptualisation to delivery of market-leading solutions. Your analytical prowess will be put to the test as you evaluate market dynamics, assess risks, and craft competitive pricing strategies tailored to maximise profitability and market share. The Assistant Product Manager duties include. Responsible for product positioning, risk analysis, pricing, including creating specific packages to achieve competitive advantages within the marketplace whilst maintaining profitability. As well as bespoke pricing for individual sales tenders/clients. Updating system information including cost, resale, packaging information, descriptions, and other part data maintenance. Establish, maintain & develop effective relationships with existing and new suppliers. Assume responsibility and manage the setting up of part numbers, bill of materials in the (MRP) system and internal price and delivery module, in association with Managers. Work with purchasing to manage inventory levels, process stock rotations and returns along with negotiating with suppliers Be the Champion for the products and provide effective customer service and support to internal stakeholders and end users. Support with defining the product strategy and roadmap. Set pricing, sales volume and profitability based upon size of market, competition and customer feedback and in line with company goals. Work with suppliers, sales and quality in regard to the disposition of defective goods.Skills and requirements Experience within manufacturing, reseller or distribution market. Second language in German or French desirable, but not essential Excellent written and verbal communication skills. ERP/MRP admin experience desirable.
