Electrical Engineer - Power Industry Remote with Fornightly Travel to Nottingham. Very competitive salary + benefits Introduction We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a large energy company within the UK. You would be responsible for project deliverables and have experience with HV and EHV distribution networks, creating technical specifications and leading teams to deliver major overhaul contracts. This role will be based from home, close to one of the companies sites in Nottingham / North Lincolnshire / North Wales / Kent or North London, with travel required to Nottingham every 2 weeks. Roles & Responsibilities As Electrical Engineer you will be responsible for: Taking a leading role in power engineering projects within Hydrogen, Gas Storage, Battery Storage and Conventional Power Generation. Developing HV and EHV distribution networks and grid connection schemes. Delivering technical feasibility studies for HV and LV equipment. Creating technical specifications for HV and LV equipment. Leading multi-disciplined teams of permanent and temporary colleagues to deliver solutions on major overhaul contracts, installation and construction projects. Witnessing factory acceptance tests, site acceptance tests, commissioning equipment and plant handover. Writing technical reports for internal clients. Skills & Qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Degree or HND in relevant discipline (Electrical Engineering, Engineering Design etc) Experience working within heavy process industries (power generation, steel, refinery, chemical, etc) HV experience. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Experience building working relationships with multi-discipline teams and senior stakeholders. Flexibility to travel for the role, predominately within the UK and sometimes internationally.
