Repair Engineer


Role Mission As a Variable Speed Drives Repair Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining variable speed drives (VSDs) used in industrial applications. You will work closely with customers, technicians, and engineers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to VSDs. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently. Key Responsibilities • Perform hands-on troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of variable speed drives. • Conduct detailed inspections of VSDs to identify faults, issues, or malfunctions. • Collaborate with customers to understand their requirements and provide technical support. • Analyze and interpret technical specifications, diagrams, and schematics. • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve VSD issues. • Test repaired VSDs to ensure proper functionality and compliance with quality standards. • Document all repairs, maintenance activities, and technical information accurately. • Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices. • Provide training and guidance to junior technicians when required. • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment. Role Requirements including Desired Attributes & Skills HND or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in repairing and maintaining variable speed drives. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, motor control, and power electronics. Strong electronics knowledge on both analogue and digital circuits Familiarity with VSD manufacturers' guidelines, specifications, and programming. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, software, and test equipment.
