Mechanical Estimator

As a Mechanical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the commercial and project delivery teams by providing accurate estimations and cost management for a diverse range of commercial projects. Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with the commercial and project delivery teams to understand project requirements and objectives. * Analyse project drawings, specifications, and other documents to accurately estimate the cost of mechanical works. * Utilise industry-standard software and tools to prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labour, equipment, and overheads. * Conduct thorough research on material and labour costs to ensure competitive and accurate pricing. * Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and participate in tender review meetings. * Provide ongoing support throughout the project life cycle, offering expertise in cost management and value engineering. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in mechanical estimation. Requirements: * Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, within the construction or engineering sector. * Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping. * Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office suite. * Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. * Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. * Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. * Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field.
