Costings Engineer

We are currently seeking an Costings Engineer to join a well-established, family-run SME based in Gloucester. The primary responsibility of this role is to accurately tender bespoke packaged pump systems for the Water Industry & Building Services sectors. Key duties and responsibilities.... * Liaise with customers, suppliers and the engineering team to create a high level design, detailed costing and proposal to solve the customers’ challenge. * Be involved in projects post order to assist with successful delivery every time. * Work with customers to get the best price on products * Tender on materials that are needed * Provide technical advise to internal staff and customers on products * Advise on specification matters * Put together proposals, quotations, pull into check list and get processed Requirements * Previous experience in design, costing and tendering bespoke pump systems/projects * A good understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering and pipework * A good understanding of water industry best practise/asset standards * Strong communication skills both written and verbal with sound technical skills and a willingness to learn. * High attention to detail * Customer-focussed mind-set, to provide the best solution commercially and technically for the customer * Good commercial acumen * Ability to work as part of a team supporting both the sales and operational teams Benefits * Salary- £40,000- £50,000 doe * Bonus * Monday- Friday 8am- 5pm
