Pre-Construction Manager – Interior Fit-Out & Refurbishment Projects * c£70K - £80k (Dependent on Relevant Experience) * Car Allowance * Additional Benefits The Company My client is a dynamic and specialist interior fit-out contractor operating in a variety of sectors ranging from leisure & hospitality, high end commercial office, hotel, luxury residential, museum, heritage and art sector, working on landmark prestigious project throughout the UK and Overseas. The Pre-Construction Manager Role As they enter an exciting period of expansion they are looking for a Pre-Construction Manager based in the West Midlands region. The role will be very client focused with a strong emphasis on building relationships through the estimating and tendering processes, before handing the project over to the delivery team. Your role will be as much akin to that of Account Manager as Pre-Construction Manager. As Pre-Construction Manager, you will be responsible for leading the Pre-Construction team, assessing new opportunities and establishing bid strategies whilst managing the team and mentoring more junior members of staff. Key Roles & Responsibilities: * Responsible for all preconstruction activities including budgets, value engineering, schedules. * Review drawings and specifications and other documents. * Prepare preliminary, schematics, design developments and develop construction estimates. * Monitor design cost trend and detect any potential risk. * Support business development in proposal presentation. The Successful Pre-Construction Manager * They are looking for a proactive person, someone who is hands on, enjoys working to high standards, confident enough to challenge and develop existing methodologies, * You should have a commercial background with an understanding of processes and a track record of delivering successful bids. * Be able to work on multiple projects at various stages at any one time without the need for close supervision. * Establish winning strategies and writing plans for quality led bids and participates in red reviews of prequalification documents and tenders * Give support and assistance to other bid team members as required, to ensure bid management provides an effective and value adding function throughout the business * Coordinate the production of bids and proposals, producing a costed bid plan and gain all relevant authorisations * Have a diligent approach to the preparation of information to customers and to the checking of information provided by others. * Have a real passion for the industry and want to deliver exceptionally, the places where we live, learn, work, play, care and protect
