Vacancy Summary Job Title: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Job Ref: #1001 Location: Norfolk Start Date: ASAP Salary: c£55k-£65k basic plus competitive package Company & Project: An award winning Main Contractor operating across East Anglia are currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a recent c£35m Education project win in Norfolk. The successful candidate will be working alongside a talented Managing Quantity Surveyor with a very good reputation as a mentor. The business has a strong pipeline of New Build projects in Norfolk and track record of delivering flagship projects in the local area. This is a unique opportunity to work on a large new build project in Norfolk from the early stages, through to onsite commercial management and final account at an industry leading company whilst being based locally. The company have won numerous awards and have achieved long standing success for their work, with many members of staff and the senior management team having worked for the business for decades. Duties & Responsibilities: The successful candidate will take responsibility for all quantity surveying functions on the job, from procurement of subcontractors, measurement & valuations, through to processing monthly applications for payment, handling claims and variations. Desirable Experience: Minimum 5 years+ experience as a QS. Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Experience working for a Main Contractor. Previous Roles: Quantity Surveyor OR Project QS OR Senior Quantity Surveyor OR Package Surveyor OR Intermediate Quantity Surveyor OR Cost Manager. Qualifications & Skills: Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management, HNC or BTEC.
