Job Title: Nursery Assistant Location: Derby (DE23) Start Date: 22/04/2024 Salary: £80 - £85 per day Are you approachable, understanding and reassuring towards young children? We are looking for flexible, creative and enthusiastic candidates to join the team. The school in Derby are looking to take on a part-time Nursery Assistant for a long-term period continuing to the end of the academic year. The successful applicant will help children to learn numeracy and language skills through games, singing and story telling as well as record children's development and share with parents, carers and other staff. The Nursery Assistant must be passionate, enthusiastic and driven with a love for childcare. The School is state of the art, purpose built, full of exciting and stimulating resources to support your teaching and learning with the children The successful Nursery Assistant will have: Level 2/3 in childcare (or working towards) Have experience working with children aged 0 years to 7 years Previous experience supporting children - paid or voluntary First Aid Qualification (preferred) Ability to communicate with children and parents Strong behaviour management skills An awareness of child protection and safeguarding Your role as Nursery practitioner will include: Engaging children in entertaining and educational play through a variety of activities. Supporting and assisting the Manager in planning and delivering a programme of activities. Communicating with fellow colleagues, clients and parents in a professional manner. Potential to step up as a Key Worker when required.
