Cost Engineer / Senior Cost Engineer - Award Winning Management Consultancy (Automotive Client Project) - UK - Remote - £45,000 - £70,000 + Bonus I'm excited to be partnering with a global consultancy currently going through exciting growth. With an extremely talented and award-winning team of consultants, they are looking to bolster their team with the addition of up to four Cost Engineers for a new transformation project in the Automotive / EV space. This business focuses on providing innovative cost reduction and value creation solutions gained through building bespoke consulting engagements. They focus on collaboration and creating partnerships with their clients to understand their specific needs before creating and implementing long term and sustainable solutions. They attract the best talent in the market and pride themselves on creating clear and accelerated progression opportunities. What will the role entail? As part of the Cost and Value Engineering team, you will work with the client to optimise their internal/external costs using cost estimates, product tear downs and cost gap analysis. Working with the manufacturing and operations departments you will work on gathering all data from cost analysis to develop cost models and recommendations for the team. As a delivery consultant, you will work with the client to understand their supply chain model and make recommendations based on areas such as margins, component and product costs, location and market intel. You will work with senior stakeholders at VP level and above to create solutions in line with overall business strategy. What skills and experience are required? A cost engineering background is a must - candidates must have worked in a manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or defence industry - construction or infrastructure backgrounds will not work for these positions A strong understanding of all areas in cost estimation, QAF analysis, project management Excellent people and communication skills with the ability to influence decision makers and present to senior stakeholders Degree educated A track record of improving processes and designing cost engineering tools to deliver What's in it for you?
