Mobile Electrical Engineer


Mobile Multiskilled Engineer (Elec bias) - Up to £43,000pa Overview: My client is currently looking for a time served experienced Mobile Multiskilled Engineer to work within the M25 Corridor (Predominantly based in London). The role will entail looking after Commercial environments carrying out PPM's and Reactive works. Within the existing team is a team of engineers which the majority of them have been in the company 15+years, with other members in the company close to that or even longer! The working hours for the role are 40 hours per week. However, within the 8-hour days includes 2 hours of travel time (1 hour for travelling in and one for travelling home) which means 6 hours of the day are spent working with 2 hours travel. Day to Day: Carry out Preventative maintenance service visits on Electrical Equipment as per SFG20 specification (e.g: Emergency Lighting, Distribution Boards, LV Switchgear, Control panel, Light Control Management systems, Trace Heating) Supervise subcontractors to ensure services completed in line with H&S requirements. To complete electronic and in some cases handwritten service reports / records in timely manner Respond to emergency breakdown and call outs in normal hours as well as when on call Report any remedial action required on serviced assets and provide details for repair required. Develop and maintain good working relationships with clients, other contractors. On Call: On call for this position will be every 6th week on call, the client has expressed that there is a very slim chance in being called out as it's not something that happens often. If a call out does occur its 4-hour minimum pay at x1.5 rate, if it exceeds the 4 hour initial payment if it is between 8am to 12am it's x1.5 rate and if it is between 12am to 8am it will then be x2 rate. When on call during Bank Holidays + Christmas/New year, then time in Lieu can be earnt and will be classed as annual leave days (This can be explained in further detail). Overtime: The client does request that you are able to give a weekend a month, to help with overtime. Saturdays are x1.5 rate and Sundays are x2 rate, overtime can be spent doing Maintenance tasks or alternatively, helping out with the Install teams doing 1st and 2nd fix. The ideal candidate will have: Previous relevant work experience in similar role (Min 5 years) C&G 2382 Level 3 Electrical Installation BS 7671: 2018 18th Edition C&G 2391-52 Inspection & Testing (Preferred not dependent) Mechanical (HVAC) qualification and/or trades background - eg: C&G 6087, 6187, 2570, (Would Be an Advantage but not a minimum) CITB Site Supervisor Safety Training qualification and valid Skill card (ECS or Gold card) Confident oral and written skills IT literate - Microsoft operating system and packages Full and valid UK driving licence. Must have clean criminal record.
