Process Safety Engineer

Process Safety Engineer - Renewables - Hybrid working/supporting sites across Scotland - £50-65k + 10% bonus, £6k car allowance, private healthcare Our client is a pioneer in the renewables energy space, specialising in anaerobic digestion, producing renewable fuel and energy. They're constantly looking for new ways to inovate and are exploring new avenues in the renewables sector. They currently operate numerous plants throughout Scotland and are currently commissioning a number of new facilities, with others making the transition between lower-tier and upper-tier COMAH. Due to this, they are looking to bolster their Process Safety team with the addition of another Process Safety Engineer. Supporting the team, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, including greenfield/brownfield projects, to improving process safety management and aiding the transition from lower-tier to upper-tier COMAH. Some of your specific responsibilities will include; - Being responsible for chairing and/or organising process safety assessments for new projects and/or modifications to existing plants. - Conducting HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, DSEAR, and other assessments. - Being responsible for performing formal design reviews and deep dive activities on existing systems to identify gaps/areas for improvement. - Advising site leaders how to improve process safety standards, performing regular audits to ensure all plants are operated within their design parameters.
