Senior Electrical CAD Designer

Calling all Electrical Design Engineers who can travel to Barrow-in-Furness at least a few times per fortnight - please apply below if you would like to work on some of the worlds most exciting projects for a global leader in Defence. The Role Using the CAD toolset to produce 3D models of electrical routed systems and electrical equipment integration e.g. switchboards and power units etc. Mature and develop 2D electrical schematics / system diagrams Producing outputs (including 2D drawings and electronic data) to support manufacturing, installation and testing of our products Developing and maintaining close working relationships with other design teams and stakeholders Working as a team to produce an integrated design that meets the customer's expectations and agreed set of requirements Experience Relevant apprenticeship, engineering qualification or previous experience as an Electrical Designer / Draughtsperson e.g. HNC, ONC or degree qualification in relevant STEM subject or equivalent work experience Experience in electrical compartment integration and Engineering Standards at component and sub-component / assembly level Knowledge and understanding of electrical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques There are multiple positions available so please feel free to enquire even if your experience isn't a 100% match, or if you know someone else who might be interested please encourage them to apply *** Please note this roles require UK defence security clearance to SC level as a minimum, you must be SC clearable to apply for this role
